The Indian jewels have spanned from the time of five thousand years. There have been many striking examples of Indian jewelry that have been conquering the heart of queens and kings for a long time. The limited number of jewelry pieces that have endured from various times and sections of the land, citations in literature, tracts on gemology, and chronicles bear witness to an unprecedented heritage in the world.

Nath
This one is the Indian cultural nose ring which is worn by most of the people from North India. Its designs vary depending upon places and people. The north Indian people belonging from Punjab wear the Shikarpuri Nath that contains a huge golden ring along with a slender chain. This chain can then be tucked into the hair. In addition, this nath is also adorned with some beautiful beads and stones that make it look very beautiful.
A more basic version of the Shikarpuri Nath is the nathni, which is famous in Rajasthan and Gujarat. The Maharashtrians carry the guchhedar nath that comes in unique ways and is decorated with stones, crystals, and pearls.
Kamarbandh
This is an elegant belt that can be worn around the waist along with a saree. The typical ones are pretty heavy, with elaborate designs and patterns. This piece of jewelry attracts attention to the waistline and therefore is synonymous with elegance.
Balis and Jhumkas
They are typically traditional Indian earrings that are crafted exquisitely and adorned with gems and stones. Jhumka earrings consist of a small upper part that is attached to a bell-shaped structure below. On the other hand, Balis are conventionally ring-shaped earrings that offer Indian traditional outfits the right ethnocultural touch.
Mangalsutra
There are many types of Indian necklaces such as the long kantha necklace or hasli. The mangalsutra, a necklace of black beads and gold is being worn by the wedded Hindu ladies. Mangalsutra is the most common of all neckpieces. There are cultural variations here too. The people of south India prefer wearing the thaali, while the Goans carry the dharemani.
Kangan
The very bulky and traditional bangle in gold and silver is known as Kangan. The wedding kangans are more ornamental and have a clasp for safe fastening. Punjabi brides often wear chooras, which are traditionally made from ivory and are available in a blend of white and red.
Bajuband
They are classic armlets worn on the upper arm. These were worn by both queens and kings in ancient times. They are to be secured with a golden string in place. The Indian men and women have been in love with these elegant armlets. Few popular motifs on them involve entwining creepers or snakes.
